Single-visit crowns at College Square Dental

A CEREC restoration is an all-ceramic restoration that can be made chairside to repair teeth due to decay or fracture. CEREC crowns are made in a single visit at our Lisle, IL dental office, eliminating the need for a temporary crown and multiple appointments. Teeth restored with CEREC technology are stronger and more beautiful, and will help keep your smile looking natural.

During your CEREC appointment, your tooth is prepared for the crown and a digital scan is taken. Using computer software, a unique crown is designed and milled while you wait. Once ready, your CEREC crown is bonded (cemented) to the tooth and you’ll leave with a strong, aesthetic, single-visit crown.

Proper brushing and flossing are important for maintaining your CEREC restoration and the gums around it. Also important are twice yearly visits with our Lisle, IL dentists for cleaning and exams.

Dr. Brammeier has been making CEREC restorations for more than eleven years, giving us the experience to provide a comfortable and successful same-day crown. To learn more about CEREC restorations, schedule an appointment at our Lisle dental office!

Why Choose CEREC?

There are many advantages of using CEREC over traditional crown technology.

Time: CEREC crowns are made in one visit, saving you considerable time away from your job and family.

Comfort: With CEREC, there is no need for a temporary crown, eliminating significant potential discomfort.

Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of CEREC restore your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function, and closely match the composition of your natural tooth structure.

Strength: Milled ceramic is stronger than the traditional method of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay beautiful for years!

Fillings: CEREC material and technology can also be used for fillings. Since these fillings are made out of porcelain, they are more durable than white composite fillings.
