Meet Dr. Matthew Van Beek
I am excited to have joined the team at College Square Dental and I look forward to continuing the high level of care provided by this office for years to come. I have found out quickly that this is a wonderful area to live and work and I can’t wait to build meaningful relationships with patients and families in the community as we work together to connect oral health to overall wellness.

Philosophy of Care
My approach to patient care is built upon the idea that patients come first. I believe “patient centered care” means working with patients to make treatment decisions. Furthermore, I believe that earning the trust of patients and their families is a critical element of building strong, positive relationships within a dental practice and a community. I take my responsibility as a dentist and health provider very seriously; I strive to stay current on evidence-based dentistry and engage in continuing education so that I can provide the most complete care for my patients.

I am truly blessed with a wonderful family including my wife and three children. I am a Michigan native, and I met my wife, Joanna (an Illinois native), at the University of Michigan, where she was also pursuing a graduate degree. We love watching our children (Jack, Susan and Ben) grow up every day. We live in Downers Grove, and we primarily spend our free time chasing our kids around and taking them to the many parks this area has to offer. If the kids are otherwise occupied, I enjoy watching and playing sports, particularly baseball, and spending time with my family and friends.
